This song is the sweetest thing i have ever heard. When people write love songs for the people they love they can go one of two ways; extremely cheesy and lame or heartfelt and real. This song is one of those songs that make your heart swell it is so sweet! I also like how simple the video is and how Dallas Green mentions everyone who worked on it as well as who the girl in the park is.

Tegan and Sara are so amazingly talented and i love love love their songs. This is one of my favorites and i wanted to find a live version of them singing to show how amazing they are live. Tegan and Sara are sisters that write there own original songs and they sing beautiful harmonies together. If you like what you hear i recommend listening to some of their other songs like 'Walking with a Ghost', 'Nineteen', and 'Call it Off'.

Since i got some good feed back from my last video of Arcade Fire i am posting another song of theirs i really enjoy. I saw a fireworks a while ago and this song was playing and i thought the fireworks and the song meshed very well together. I like how in the music video the lighting almost has a glow effect to it and it reminds me of the firework show. Another reason i am posting this song is because my friend wanted to here more songs by Arcade Fire so here's another one of my favorites. Hope you like it!

I'm not so sure what the fighting with the drum sticks near the end is about... LOL. But anyways this is one of my favorite songs off their album Funeral which my friend gave to me a few years ago for christmas and i still listen to it a lot. The thing i like a lot about arcade fire is that they sound the same on the CD as they do live which is pretty rare. I love the use of violins and bells in their songs i think they are very original and refreshing, it's a break from all the auto-tune a lot of artists use these days.

If i hadn't lost my ipod, i would be listening to this song on repeat all day. It's been stuck in my head for so long and yesterday when i was running with my friend we would sing the part of the song "we are always running for the thrill of it, thrill of it." This song is so fun but the music video is veeeerry strange... I think the empire of the sun was trying to be all artsy with the costumes and the movement but it looks like a joke. The song is great though, and if you jog or run or walk with and ipod, this song for sure should be on your running, walking, jogging playlist.
I know it says Kathleen's Journal Blog and usually a journal is where people write updates about their lives so instead of just posting videos, ill also write posts about what's going on in my life. On tuesday i was bored after school so i called my friend to see if she wanted to go running. Neither of us our runners and every time i would look over at my friend i would start laughing so hard because she looked rediculous and then she would laugh because i looked rediculous... Needless to say we didn't get a lot of running done and half way through our run we went for ice cream. Running is fun when you don't take it to seriously

Yesterday my friend showed me this music video and i really like it. The song has a very mellow and soothing vibe that i enjoy. The stop motion in the video is very well done, it must have taken forever to make this video! Not only is the music video fun to watch the story of the song is very well matched to the video. Some music videos are do disconnected from the meaning of the song and personally i like watching a music video that is closely related to what the song is about.

This song is so fit for summer! The whistling and the drums are the best part of the song and i think it's also what makes it so catchy. I really love this video and all the bright colours, it makes me feel like i live in a comic book

My friend and i tried to learn the harmonies of this song and it's a really fun song to sing! I think the music video is kinda creepy... Garden gnomes kinda scare me but that's not gonna stop me from listening to the song

Listening to Grace Potter and the Nocturnals made me want to look up some Fleetwood Mac. I had never seen this video before until today and it really wasn't what i expected... I guess i just expected a little bit more of a story line to go with such an amazing song. So the song out shined the video which is alright by me because i would rather find a really good song than a really good music video for a song. Gypsy i think is one of Fleetwood Mac's best songs and it is a classic so it will never get old to me.

I heard a song from Grace Potter a while ago called 'Fallin' or Flying' which i fell in love with and when i heard this song of hers i fell in love once again. Unlike fallin' or flying which is a really sad mellow song, 'Tiny Light' is louder and more powerful. I really admire her vocal strength and i wish i could hold notes like she can. I also really like her outfits and the lighting in this video, not to mention she has the coolest band. Their look kind of reminds me of Fleetwood Mac in their earlier years.
THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER.
My brother showed me this game on sunday and i have not stopped playing... The music and unicorns and the rainbows and the dolphins it's just the most magical game ever created!!! Go play this game and crank your speakers because it's not the same without the music.

This video is so crafty and cute i love it! I heard this song on a show and needed to track it down, i would like to listen to it while camping in the woods because it has a camp fire/ folk song feeling to it. I hope you like it!

I am not obsessed with twilight okay!? I read every book except for the last but the movies completely ruined it for me. The only reason i watched the movies was for Taylor Lautner. He is actually so rediculously good looking it makes me sad i don't know anyone who looks like him... Yesterday my aunt gave me a signed picture of him and i kinda flipped out, the printed picture she gave me was touched my Taylor Lautner how could i not flip out!? Anyways back to the video i posted, even though new moon was a waste of my time, the soundtrack is really great. This is probably my favorite song on the album. I can't decide if this song makes me feel happy or sad and also the lyrics are impossible to understand but i still love the song.

Today i just learned how post videos and i can't stop posting them because i keep thinking of songs i want to share with the world! Obviously pretty much everyone in the world knows queen and bohemian rhapsody, but if you don't know it, now is your time to listen to the most epic song in history. It's my goal of the week to learn all the lyrics to this song and then sing them for my friends in socials who already have the whole song memorized. I conquered memorizing a Macbeth soliloquy for english class today and i feel invincible! Anyways hope you are having a good day and thank you for reading my blog/watching the videos on my blog.

I LOVE GIRL TALK. if ever i'm moody or whatever, i listen to girl talk and it pumps up my energy and pretty much makes my day. I saw this guy live and it was soooo crazy good klsdjfslafjd no words can explain. So this Girl Talk guy is one guy who mixes songs and he is a musical genius but 'he's not a dj'... whatever you wanna call him he is great and his songs are so much fun.

This is one of my favorite mash ups i cannot get bored of this song. If my life had an anthem, this would be it. Probably not because actually because i can't relate the song to my life, i just really really like it :)

So there are actually two video's for this song. The other one is pretty much a party in slow motion and Kid Cudi is the only one not slowed down by time. I posted this video because i thought it was more original and because the slow motion partying has been done in a lot of other music videos. When it comes to rap music i would have to say Kid Cudi and Kanye West are my favorite and this song is definitely one of my favorites right now, so enjoy!
Hellooo out there! I'm kathleen and even though in the title of my blog it says it's journal blog it's actually going to be more of a jumble of music videos. I really love music and think that it is a great way to communicate feelings so technically by posting music i am posting my feelings.

This video is sooo strange and when i first saw it i must say i was a little scared... But it' a really great song, it kinda takes a few time listening to it before you start to like it but it's worth giving it few chances because it's a really interesting song. MGMT's songs on their fist album where all amazing and it was an album i could listen to over and over. Their newest album i must say did not surpass the greatness of their first... However this song alone is amazing and crazy and feakish and you won't understand until you watch it.

The first video i posted by amy winehouse has been stuck in my head for days! It's just so catchy and it's impossible not to sing along. I wasn't the biggest fan of amy winehouse when she released her album but recently i've come to love her soulful lyrics, her raspy voice and her raw lyrics. Listen to "tears dry on their own".
